Young Detroiter Sport Merit Scholarship: Celebrating Academic Excellence
Young Detroiter Sport is committed to celebrating the academic excellence of Detroit high school students who have also participated in sports. These students are the future leaders of Detroit and the world, and we are dedicated to helping them achieve their academic and personal goals through our merit scholarship program. The Young Detroiter Sport Merit Scholarship provides financial assistance to graduating high school seniors in Detroit, Michigan, who have excelled academically and participated in sports throughout high school. Sports and academic excellence are not mutually exclusive. In fact, sports can teach young people essential life skills such as teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and leadership. These skills are essential for success in college and beyond.

Eligibility:
To be eligible for the Young Detroiter Sport Merit Scholarship, students must:
- Be a graduating high school senior in the Detroit metropolitan area

- Have participated in sports throughout high school

- Be a US citizen or permanent resident
How to apply:
