Who is Young Detroiter Sport?
Young Detroter Sport was created to uplift Detroit high school student-athletes and their community. We began as a Detroit-made athletic safety apparel line and grew into an initiative showcasing and preparing high school athletes and their families for their futures in sports and in life.
We help young athletes get scouted not only for their athletic abilities but also for their potential to contribute and change the world. Young Detroiter Sport connects these driven and dedicated young people to mentorship and internship opportunities that broaden their perspective on their community and the world beyond the sport.
Young Detroiter Sport strives for excellence. We invest in our youth and their future through our high school athletic program. We work to broaden their career path since only some achieve the opportunity to gain long-term employment through professional sports leagues. You see, YDS truly supports our athletes in and outside the sport. To achieve this, we rely on the generosity of others to support our program materially and voluntarily. They say it takes a village to raise a child, meaning our entire community must provide a positive environment for young ones to grow.

Philanthropy
YDS is giving back to the community in Detroit, Michigan! Our goal is to give away scholarships to athletes who select a career in sports. This can be a career in sports medicine or athletic training. This program encourages our athletes to plan for a secondary career path. Giving back to student-athletes in our community allows investment in their future and everyone’s future.
